Don’t worry — after booking, we’ll send you detailed access instructions by email and can also assist with taxi arrangements if you prefer

  • We are located in a quiet residential area of Nara, easily accessible from two stations on the JR line. Both JR Oji Station and JR Horyuji Station are convenient, and the best choice depends on your travel plan.

  • It depends on your travel plan:

    1. Both JR Oji Station and JR Horyuji Station are convenient – they are only 4 minutes apart by train.

    2. If you are mainly coming for the cooking class, or visiting Shigisan Temple / staying at a temple lodging → choose JR Oji Station (Osaka side, easy taxi access).

    3. If you want to explore UNESCO-listed Horyuji Temple before the class → choose JR Horyuji Station.

  • By taxi: about 10 minutes (¥1,500–1,900).

    By bus: about 10 minutes (¥310) to Tatsuta Shrine, then a 10-minute walk.

    Good to know: JR Oji Station usually has more taxis waiting than JR Horyuji Station, so it’s easier to catch one without prior arrangement.

  • To Horyuji Temple: about 6 minutes by bus (¥210).

    From Horyuji Temple to our cooking class: about 10–15 minutes on foot.

    Direct to our home from JR Horyuji Station: about 10 minutes by taxi (¥1,400–1,800) or 30 minutes on foot.

  • Classes are available in 3, 4, or 5 hours — you’ll choose your preferred duration when booking.

  • Usually at 11:00 AM. Afternoon start (3:00 PM) is available by request.

  • Absolutely—solo travelers are always welcome!

  • Even though it lists 1 to 4 people, we accept up to 10 guests with prior arrangement and may the time gets longer.

  • Children from ages 8 to 14 are welcome to join. The participation fee is ¥10,000 per child (tax included). If you’re joining with younger children, no extra charge.

  • Yes! Please inform us in advance and we’ll happily adjust the menu to meet your dietary preferences.

  • Yes! Photos and videos are welcome—and we’d love it if you tag us on Instagram.

  • The class is mainly taught in English. We also include simple Japanese expressions and cultural explanations. If you’re studying Japanese or curious about the language, we can adjust to your preference.

Changing your date

If your plans change, just contact us by email — we’ll help you reschedule your class manually Please note that date changes are subject to availability

Cancellation policy

• Full refund up to 5 days before the class

• No refunds within 4 days of the class Thank you for your understanding

Even if the calendar shows no availability, we may still be able to adjust the schedule
