If you have a peanut butter and…
Soy sauce, we can make tasty Japanese dressing
Let’s prepare a super easy salad with peanut butter dressing!
Without miso paste, we can still make Japanese style salad dressing simply with peanut butter and soy sauce.
If you do not have rice vinegar -any type of vinegar will be fine.
<salad>
Any vegetable like spinach, broccoli’s, carrot etc
<peanut soy sauce dressing>
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar (any vinegar)
1 tablespoon honey
■ boil vegetables or put the vegetable in a microwave dish and cook until it gets soft (if you are using spinach, rinse it in cold water a few times to get rid of the tart taste)
■ Combine all ingredients for the dressing and mix well
■ Serve the vegetables on a plate and add the peanut butter dressing on top
This time, I used “Na no Hana” (na= canola , Hana- flower) for green vegetables.
It represents Spring vegetables. It has a little bit of a bitterness with flower but it works well with the peanut butter dressing!
